How Sabtask came about
We ran a pilates studio in Ankara, Turkey. The work itself was enjoyable. Managing it was not. Member records sat in one notebook, the schedule somewhere else, payments in a third place. Instructors kept their own notes. At the end of each month we calculated payouts by hand.
The real problem was not the mess. There were questions we could not answer, and not answering them was holding the business back. Which hours are running empty? Whose package is about to expire? How much are we expecting to collect next month? Which instructor is bringing in what? If we had known these things we could have made the studio both more efficient and easier to grow.
We looked at the software on the market. All of it was built to schedule classes. It took bookings, filled the calendar, and stopped there. None of it told us anything about the business itself.
Sabtask came out of that gap. Not out of theory, out of problems we lived with daily. Before we built a feature we needed it, then we wrote it, then we used it in our own studio.
We used the software to make the studio efficient and then handed the studio over. Today we work on Sabtask full time.
Where it is used today
Sabtask is used by five businesses across three countries: two pilates studios, a yoga studio, a music school and a gym that works one to one.
They look like different businesses but the structure is the same. A student buys a package, lessons are deducted from it, an instructor teaches and earns a payout. Sabtask manages that structure.
