What is music school management software?
Music school management software brings student records, lesson packages, the weekly schedule and teacher payouts into one system. In schools where lessons are mostly one to one and run at a fixed hour each week, the schedule is set up once and attendance and payment tracking follow through the system.

In the morning the weekly schedule screen lists every teacher's fixed slots; two teachers cannot book the same student into the same hour.
At noon a student who paid in part brings the rest; you record the payment on their card and it drops off the outstanding list.
In the evening, when a lesson is completed, the teacher's share has been calculated from that lesson's fee; at month end you argue figures with no one.
As the term closes, the revenue and expense screen shows the difference between the months; the result is a number, not a guess.

The list of outstanding payments sits on the panel. A student who paid partially shows their remaining balance on their card.
Make-up lessons fall outside the records.
Cancellations and new lesson bookings go into the system, and remaining lesson counts update accordingly.
At the end of a term it is unclear what was earned.

Which student works with which teacher is in the teacher's memory, not in the records.
Each student's card names their teacher. When a lesson is opened and a teacher is chosen, only that teacher's students are listed; the one to one pairing holds in every lesson.
During the half-term break or a teacher's leave, a student's package time drains away.
School closure days and approved teacher leave move the package expiry of the affected students forward by those days. How many days were added is shown on the card.
A make-up lesson also comes off the package, and the student rightly objects.
A make-up lesson is added as a separate free credit; the student's total lesson credit does not shrink, and the teacher is still paid for the lesson.
A student calls the school to ask which day this week's lesson is and how many are left.
The student portal holds the next lesson, the weekly schedule and the remaining lesson count. The student looks; the school does not answer by phone.
